Simply the best |
This was simply the best stragety sci-fi game ever made. The research, building on planets, customizing ships, and turn based gameplay (and battles) was the most enrapturing system I've ever played. I can't praise this game enough, I still play it over and over today. A gem from the time when computers were still new and awe inspiring for me. |

One of the best strategy games ever created. |
I owned this game years ago. i have played many others like it but they never really filled the void that this game left behind. I own alot of strategy games and this one is my favorite. Fighters, Planet Destroyers, huge Tech tree. I really wished they would have expanded on it. I couldnt wait for MOO3 and then it turned out to be a bust. Its a great game and must have. |

Do you realize how many games have tried to copy MOO 2? |
I'm guessing that MOO 2 is 10 years or older now and in my opinion still has not been surpassed or even equaled and that is despite how many others have copied or attempted to improve on MOO 2. Even MOO 3 failed miserably in its attempt to improve on MOO 2. I remember when I first heard that MOO 3 was coming out and thought to myself "Why? To be better than MOO 2 it would have to be the greatest game ever created by man". There have been literally dozens of games that have tried to do better and still have not. MOO 2 is so good that even the dated graphics become a non-issue in short time for new players. Great games never die! |

Classic |
This game gave me many hours of satisfying game play. The graphics are old, but the game is better than many being released today. It is better than it's successor, MOO 3. Make sure to download the patch. It helps game play and makes the races a little more fair. Yes, the computer does cheat, but only to keep things competitive. Get this game and enjoy. |

One of the best games ever |
I played this game so much that the CD actually cracked while in my drive (I didn't even know that could happen). A great balance of building and killing. While the tactical combat is fun most of the time, there is an auto feature (which is a great asset). I wish the AI was better but, overall, it's the best space-game I've ever seen. |
