Marketadvisory.com Review |
|
This quiet, clean-running cordless tool is ideal for anyone who needs to clip tall, awkwardly-sited, or hard-to-reach hedges and shrubs. It effectively trims to a height of ten feet, thanks to two interlocking components that form an extended pole shape. The hardened, machined steel 18-inch cutting blade is exceptionally durable and features dual action to minimize vibration and increase user comfort. The 180-degree pivoting head adjusts to five different positions for hedges both high and low and effectively trims branches up to 7/16-inch in diameter. A powerful 18-volt NiCad battery provides 2400 revolutions per minute and runs the trimmer for up to 50 minutes between charges, as well as starting up effortlessly with the press of a trigger. (A locking switch enhances safety by preventing accidental starts.) Without a cumbersome electrical cord to drag around, even big jobs feel easier, and there are never any oil, gas, or tune-ups needed. The unit assembles and disassembles in seconds using locking collars to join the power end to the cutting head. A carry bag allows for easy transport and storage at home or to professional worksites. Also included are a battery charger and blade cover for increased storage safety. This trimmer is covered by a two-year warranty in addition to a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. It weighs just over eight pounds and measures 78 inches long when put together. --Mary Park |

Works Great |
|
My mom and I love this, now hedging the front bushes only takes a couple of minutes instead of hours, it's awesome! |

Does what it is supposed to |
|
I am pleased with this product. It is well made and has performed flawlessly. It is a bit heavy, so if you are reaching way up or way out, you will need to rest your arms fairly frequently. But that beats getting a ladder, or not being able to do them at all. So in all, very happy with the purchase. |

Pretty pleased |
|
I am pretty pleased with this cordless trimmer. It is a little heavy and I did have to take breaks especially when holding it over my head to trim the top of a high arbor. But the convenience of not having a cord dragging along and the ease of using it made it well worth the money. It charged up in no time and kept the charge for a couple of hours. It used to be the hedges got trimmed once a year because it was such a headache, but now I can actually keep them looking good all year. Four stars only because in the future the design will be more ergonomic and then it will get five stars! |

Can't do without it |
This product is bulky and,in my opinion, probably not going to be used by a woman due to its weight. However, for someone who has a lot of hedges, tree trimming, and other trimming that requires reach, this is a product you won't be able to do without.
I think what Black and Decker should do is elimated or come out with the option of no elbow. The elbow is bluky, combersome and adds weight and I don't use it; since I am probably average, that means that the elbow is not being used enough to make it worth while. |

Vesatile trimmer |
|
Yes it is a hedge trimmer on a pole and works well as such. I used it to trim the bottom of my weeping willow along with some shrubs. Its best use may be as a weed whacker when you have weeds that are tall and too tough for a string trimmer to handle well. Just set it at the more comfortable angle, hold it down and cut off the weeds. |
