Marketadvisory.com Product Description |

This compressor has a lightweight design that makes it easy to carry. | Choose DeWalt Compressors for Durable, Reliable Performance Ideal for finish carpenters and woodworkers, this trim compressor from DeWalt produces .75 SCFM at 90 PSI, 135 PSI (max) -- delivering high surge performance with quick recovery. But despite its ferocious power output, the D55140 operates at just 69 dB for much quieter operation compared to some other compressors on the market. The D55140 was designed with a 2.6 amp draw motor to deliver easy start-up and reduced breaker tripping, and it also features a high-flow regulator that provides maximum air pressure to increase the jobsite performance. This model is equipped with an oil-free, long-life pump, allowing for maintenance-free operation. The pump's oil-free design eliminates the need to check or refill the pump, and it also helps keep the jobsite clean by preventing oil from transferring to work surfaces.
Don't be fooled by the small size -- this compressor is rugged enough to take a real beating. | The compact design of this unit is ideal for people who want a sturdy, powerful hand-carry compressor. Weighing just 24 pounds and measuring 9 inches wide, the D55140 is easily transported and stored, so it's ideal for knock-out work -- but the convenience features don't stop there. DeWalt equipped this compressor with a one-hand, universal quick connect for easier operation; and this model was designed with a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining, plus a convenient cord wrap for easy storage. The efficient and unique design of the D55140 guarantees maximum durability and longevity. DeWalt built this heavy-duty compressor with an innovative roll cage -- a full-protection frame design to shield the unit from routine wear and tear and accidental damage. There's also a wrap-around control panel that covers the frame and provides further protection to the compressor's key components. Key Technical Specs:

Great low noise compressor |
|
This compressors is small compared to other compressors, and for basic use it is a must. It is very quiet and his a built in quick connect switch is cool for those who like to switch out tools. The regulator is decent but takes some getting use to. All in all it is a great basic use compressor. One side note, the compressor comes in a box with no real packing foam to cushion it so inspect it other than that its a great buy. |

Good price for a good air compressor |
|
Well, this unit had a leak in one of the fitting. I took it to the local dewalt repair place, in a couple days they had it ready and worked great. I have had it for some time and its worth the cash spent. I used it to nail my baseboards. It did kick of all lot but I only needed to nail a few at a time so it fit the job. |

The Dewalt Compresser is excellent but for the price the company should include an air hose and attachments. |

Great Little Compressor. QUIET |
|
This compressor is a really nice compact unit. It's comes up to pressure quickly and is VERY quiet. Compared to the noisy old Campbeli Hausfeld compressor it replaced this thing is a relief to my ears. It just purs. The front panel gauges, pressure adjustment knob and hose attachment fitting are very convenient. I only use it for tire inflation and general cleaning and drying so I can't vouch for its use with air tools. However if I were using it in doors the low sound level would surely be a big plus. And again it does come back up to pressure very quickly compared to the CH. All in all I've been very satisfied and only hope it holds up over the long haul. |

Great compressor for small jobs around the house |
|
I use this compressor for installing new trim and t-moulding in my house with a small brad nailer. I also use it for pumping up tires on my cars and bicycles. If you want a small, quiet compressor for home use, this is it! If you're a professional trim carpenter you need to get the next larger size compressor so you can connect and run more than one brad/nail gun. |
