Mouth-blown of borosilicate glass, which is quite a bit thinner yet much more durable than regular glass, the two Pavina glasses in this set are safe for both the microwave and dishwasher, resist temperature swings, and resist scratching and dulling. Care should be taken when placing ice cubes in an empty glass, and metal spoons for stirring are discouraged. --Ann Bieri Editor's Note: Because each glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight. Elegant and practical |

These beautiful glasses helped me with my espresso habit. Espresso is brewed at low temperatures (circa 190 F) and the small amount involved makes preheating the cup mandatory, what is an unwelcome extra step. The thin inner glass wall of the Pavina takes practically no heat from the liquid making preheating unnecessary. Additionally, the double wall keeps the coffee warm for a good while. Excellent! But be careful, they are very fragile: even dropping a spoon in it could break the glass. I know, it happened to me. |

Awesome nifty little glass for that piping hot espresso shot. how do they do it??? Be careful, the outside of the cup stays so cool you'll forget that inside is a hot cup of java. Very cool! I mean hot. I mean.... you know what i mean!! And for the price... oh so cheap. |

Great Glasses |

I use these glasses daily to pull double ristretto shots for cappucino and I have no complaints. The glasses are a perfect size and keep the coffee hot. I've noticed other reviews complain about the glass being too fragile or the glasses themselves not feeling heavy or substantial enough. I haven't experienced either of these issues. My glasses have not broken despite my pre-coffee morning clumsiness. I would definitely buy these glasses again. As far as coffee equipment goes these are really inexpensive. |
