Pretty good for the money. |
|
The item worked well on our trip from NY to VA. It poured a few times and everything stayed dry. It was worth the trouble of putting it on top of the car once you figure out how to do it. Over all it is a good product. |

Rain-x Roof top Cargo Bag |
|
It is waterproof. We hit a rainstorm and the luggage stayed dry. I was able to get one large bag and 2 medium sized bags inside. It's quite roomy. Like any rooftop cargo, it's a pain to load and unload, but it does the job and gives you more space inside. |

Let the buyer beware. |

The product looked real nice BUT, You do not find out untill you open the box from Marketadvisory that you NEED TO HAVE THE ROOF RACK WITH THE 4 RAILS NOT THE ROOF RACK WITH THE 2 RAILS. |

More than worth it |
|
I bought this to help move my son from Maryland to school in Miami. I found it easy to pack and easy to secure to the roof. The zippers were tough until you got the technique down. We drove for about 8 hours through Tropical Storm Fay between Savannah GA and Melbourne FL experiencing consistantly high winds and gallons of rain. When we got to the hotel in Miami I expected at least some dampness. Not a drop, not even a little condensation. The carrier stayed secured to the roof and the inside stayed dry. What a great deal!!! |

Did the Job |
I found the product to be as advertised. Although it's not the easiest to install, it is doable. I would recommend loading the bag after getting the unit on the rack which may mean the use of a ladder. I would not try to do it at nigh or in low light situations.
We used it for a trip from Greenville SC to Oak Bluffs MA over 2000 miles round trip. Once we adjusted the straps for a tight fit and then tied the excess straps down from flapping we didn't hear a thing. As for the rain it wasn't an issue everything was dry when we opened it.
In comparison to a hard unit I know the cost was much easier to accept. |
