Great lamp - puts out a lot of light |
With 3 60-watt bulbs, and a 150-watt 3-way bulb, this lamps puts out a lot of light - but you have lots of flexibility for lesser light if you want. The switch lets you use 1, 2 or 3 of the smaller bulbs, while a separate switch controls the 3-way bulb independently.
This is the second one of these I have bought - one for a friend's somewhat dark room in a retirement home, and now for a big room in our house that needs several lamps. This one does a great job of lighting it up, now that the days are short and it gets dark so early. I am using 3 compact fluorescent bulbs in place of the 60-watters - altho I stuck with a conventional 3-way, since I have had problems with the lifespans of 3-way CFL's. And I use a timer to turn it on and off automatically.
Anyway - an excellent lamp at a great price. What more can you ask for? |

Great Lamp |

This is a great lamp, even without factoring in the relative bargain price. I looked at a lot of floor lamps, and you can easily spend 2 or 3 times as much - doubtful whether you get money's worth compared to this lamp. It comes with all wire connections made in a styrofoam box - you only have to screw the pieces together. It is heavy, which I judge a plus, and seems well made. The shade ships in a separate box and was well packed - no damage. I would buy again. |
