Wilson AVP Replica Game Ball |
|
The Wilson AVP Replica Game Ball is fine for knock-around use. If you're serious about your sand game, you'll want to shell out for the Official ball, but the Replica is a good ball for an inexpensive price. |

Good Discount Ball |
I play recreationally and have been playing for 10 years or so. I'm not a spectacular player, but I've been around long enough to understand the difference between a cheap ball and a better quality ball. I got this as a cheap outdoor practice ball and it seems very good for that purpose. It has a good feel for softness/give and overall cover material feel. It has a slightly ridged feel, like an old-school style outdoor ball. The real wilson AVP ball seems to be a much more smooth ball (no ridges).
You do get what you pay for in a volleyball. There is a definite, noticeable difference between this ball and a good $30-$40 ball. That said, if your price range is under $30, I'd say this ball is a good choice. |

Great Ball for Everyday Use |
This is a great ball. I play volleyball at least 3 times a week and this is by far the best ball I have played with. Unless you're a professional or play competitive volleyball, I can't imagine anyone not liking this ball. It is sturdy, well-made, and durable enough for indoor or outdoor use. The ball provides good control, is not too soft, and perfect for the price.
I also purchased the Mikasa VSO2000 FIVB Replica Volleyball because I couldn't make up my mind between the two. The Mikasa is nice but softer and lighter (at least it feels that way). The shell of the Mikasa also doesn't seem tough enough to handle the outdoors. I personally think the Mikasa is better for beginners or people who prefer a softer ball that doesn't hurt as much; but if you like to bump, set, spike and can carry on a good rally, you should get the Wilson AVP Replica. Trust me, you won't have any regrets...unless you're a professional, but if you were, you'd buy the real one anyway, right? |

okay ball |

If your playing competitive beach volleyball you should go with the offical one. This one is an okay ball. |

dirty ball? |
|
The ball came within the time frame indicated at sale, but looked old/worn/dirty when I got it. I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back though, but I hope the one I sent my friend for her birthday looked new! |
