Great is you don't care for your paint job |
I've had this basket a few years now. It's great. Simple on & off, great to take into stores and shop with, fits everything I need (including a little cooler for the pubcrawl rides). However the support that goes around the upright stem tends to strip the paint off the bike.
I'm ok with it, but if you're not, you should go for a different basket, perhaps one that attaches with screws to the handlebars & front wheel. It's something that I would have liked to been aware of when I bought it. |

I had been looking for a large bicycle basket for ages and found this one. Its large, the perfect size for a bag of groceries (or a case of beer...) and was very affordable. It is very sturdy and good quality. |

I'm so glad I bought this at my local bikeshop yesterday...because I can TAKE IT BACK today! It scraped up my handlebars, the basket wouldn't stay on long enough to get it off the porch, so I jerry rigged it and went to the grocery store. 2 small bags of groceries (I took the basket in with me to make sure I didn't overbuy)tipped precariously the whole way home, which, luckily, was only a couple blocks. CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! |
