I Was A Skeptic - Now I Am A Believer!! |
I never thought I'd be doing this, but here it goes - I highly endorse this product! I have fallen prey every third year or so to the lure of the latest craze in "low maintenance" cat litter boxes. When my wife saw this box for sale on Marketadvisory, and read the reviews, she said we had to try this thing. I was skeptical, to say the least, but the reviews were so compelling! And now we add ours to the list.
We gave this litter box to our two 15 lb cats, Sly & Lex, for Christmas, and put in service the next day. It's only the 8th of January, but to this point the box is every bit as good as advertised. You just roll it onto it's top, tap the sides a bit, and roll it back. The clumps land in the tray, which you remove and dump. Amazing!! I'm giving the link to this website to my cat-owning siblings (hi Debbie, Rick, Patty!) with a strong recommendation that they give this product a try. We plan to replace our 2nd litter box with this bad boy, too!
Some cautionary info, though, as touched on in some of the reviews below. The quality of the material is adequate, with the weak link being the latches that hold the top & bottom together. If these break (and they are just plastic) or if they are missing when purchased (which may happen if you buy from a brick-and-mortar; people apparently "lift" them from PetSmart to replace theirs), or if they aren't latched properly, the design fails and litter flails! Also, the lack of good installation/use instructions can be a problem, even though once you figure it out, you'll wonder what the problem was! I guess that's long enough - can you tell I really like this product? |

LOVE IT |

This is great and highly recomended. I am in the Orlando area and I searched every pet store, could not find it anywhere. I am really suprised that every single pet store doesn't carry this great item. Ended up ordering online. We have this in our large bathroom. It is so easy to clean. Just roll over and empty drawer. Cat loves to use the drawer handle to rub against. Built great, no problems with lid. Cat loves the privacy. Have been using for about two months now. The Omega litter mat does not do much good, so you really don't need it. A plain old bath mat or rug works best with the litter tracking. You will LOVE this. Makes life so much easier. |

Best Idea since Cat litter! |
would describe this cat box with words like- LOVE_LOVE- FUN- easy, ETC ETC....
When I bought the first one, I saved the receipt. I thought for $30 I am taking it back if it doesnt work like a dream. I also gave it to my mom as XMAS gift, so I wanted to make her test it out. We both own Ragdolls cats, love our big cats but hate the cat box.
We tried the automatic cleaning ones and took them back.
This cat box would be worth $100 in my opinion. I cant believe how easy it is to use, less then 10 seconds to cleans the litter box, no removing the lid. Throw away the scoops as you will never need it once you own this cat box. No smell, no bags, no mess. Even for someone with a bad back it would only require bending over. You roll it upside down, and the cleaning is done. ( bang bottom few times while upside down to loosen clumps that stick in corner areas)
You slide out the drawer and the solied litter is ready to goto the trash can. Just fill the main section with 3-4 inches of litter. Dont try to even it out to fill up the right side of the box.
Since I have gotten one for my mom, I purchased one. 4 other people I have demonstrated my cat box too, have also purchased one and they say they love it!!!
Go get one today!!
GOING ON 1 Year- I still love this cat box. I have encouraged at least 10 people to purchase one this year. Important note I have to mention, reguarding the clips that hold this together.
I have never had a problem with my clips, I have only unclipped mine about 4 times to really clean the grate inside. 3 people I know called and said they had a mess going when cleaning Omega. I figured it out for them instantly, at the time of thier purchase Of Omega, someone stole the clip!! We went to 2 PETCO's asking for the clips to hold the Omega together, none of the Omegas in thier store had clips. Be careful whn you go to purchase and make sure the Omega has 4 clips. Shoppers must read the reviews on Marketadvisory and help themselves to extra clips when they go to purchase this item:)

A $40 Bargain |
This litter box makes scooping litter much easier. It's $40, so of course it has plastic pieces. The design is simple and efficient. By rolling the litter box over, the clean litter drops through a grate into one area, while the clumps (That you won't have scoop anymore) fall into the pullout "trough."
If you want something a little fancier, then take the next step up which is probably a litter-maid that's $100+. (A lot of reviews here on Marketadvisory and elsewhere (http://www.litterbox-central.com/)steered me away from that option)The Pimp-my-litterbox that everyone seems to rave about is called the Litter-Robot. (http://www.litter-robot.com/) It weighs in at $300+.
Simple. Plastic. $40.
