Good tool, however you must work with your dog to get him/her use to the noise and feel. |
The tool does exactly as it says. But you must work with your dog alot to get them use to the noise and feel of the grinder. I massaged my dog's feet everyday for a week before the oster arrrived. This helped for my dog to get use to my touch and the practice that I wasn't going to hurt him. Then once the oster arrived I massaged his feet with the oster OFF. Then for the following week I massaged his feet with the oster turned on at different levels, but I didn't groom his nails. Then finally about 2 weeks ago I was able to grind his nails with ease. Again, this is a great tool for grinding nails, however you have to work with your dog and have a great deal of patience. |

Better than expected, but not perfect. |
We have two chihuahuas who are big babies when it comes to having their nails clipped. I have used the Oster grinder a few times now. They don't get nearly so hysterical now. I would say the "drama" factor has decreased from a 9 to a 3. I have had two minor problems with the grinder. One, attaching the head is a little tricky. It takes me two or three tries before I get it locked in correctly. Second, the sand paper ring tends to slip. Keep an eye on it. |

question |
Sounds like a useful product but why is it considered a kitchen and dining product? |

Works well on large dogs |
I did research on Marketadvisory to try and find the right nail cutter. My dog hates the clipper and it was getting harder and harder to get her to sit still - then I clipped a too far and that was it. This is quiet and does a good job on strong thick nils. |

Great product! |
This works great on my dogs nails. I have 2 small dogs and a medium sized dog, and it works well on all of their nails. It has adjustable settings, and I love that you plug it into a wall outlet so you don't spend a small fortune on batteries. |
