Love this CD!
I love Celtic music and this does not disappoint. it transports you back to Ireland and another time and place. So soothing and yet uplifting at the same time. This is music for the Irish soul.
Mostly calm, relaxing
This is worth five stars as calm, relaxing. If you are looking for fast or singing music, this is not it. But I like variety, like Ani Minogue, Celtic Women, and calm music like this.

The Best
This is one of the finest Celtic recordings I own. It was the first I ever purchased and didn't like it much the first few times I listened to it but the more I listened the more I loved it. O'Carolan's music is both timeless and haunting. The musicianship and arrangements are excellent.

I used Captain O'Kane for the father/daughter dance at my daughters wedding.
