great hawaiian music |
if you want great hawaiian music, this is it. kealii is a very talented musician, with a wonderful voice that soothes. every song is translated to english so you can understand what you are listening to. i bought this to play for our wedding and can't wait to use it.

One of the first things my wife and i did on our honeymoon to Maui after getting rental car,was to go to the Walmart by the airport...as we were pinching ourselves that we were actually in Hawaii,we looked around and saw Keali'i Rechel playing on a video recording in the electronics department and just stared at this screen for about ten minutes or so...the tune that was playing was Maunaleo and i was already familiar with this tune as we had used it in music for our hawaiian themed wedding 3 days prior.Anyhow, after spending 8 days there and buying a few cds of music(Hapa-collection& a hits collection),we returned home and i continued to seach out more hawaiian music and increase my collection. This cd was one of the first that i purchased when it came out that October.The music will take you back to driving along the ocean and the winds blowing you toward more awesome feelings of a land that anyone who goes never forgets...Whenever i explain who's playing to my wife i always say he was the guy playing on that video in Walmart after we got there-And she automatically knows! Get this cd and remember...you wont regret it.!! |

This is an excellent collection of both the traditional Hawaii music and the chants. I especially liked the booklet with the words in both Hawaiian and translated in English. I give thumbs up! |

THE BEST |

Keali'i Reichel Collection is probably the best of the Hawaiian music collection that I have. The music contained in KAMAHIWA is for listening and for dancing. I enjoy this CD so much as do my students. |
