The Jakks Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker transforms slime to bugs in no time. It's easy for kids to start making bugs. Just pour the plasti-goop compound in the bug molds and turn up the heat. When it's done baking, take out the cooling tray, let them cool, and voila -- they've got creepy creatures to gross out their friends. Buggin' Out Making the bugs is half the fun! The set comes with three distinctly different plasti-goop colors, encouraging kids to come up with festive or freaky new bug combinations. Using the goop FX detailing pens and three detailing tips, bug-makers can scorch the shades and shapes of each scorpion claw and every wormy body segment. A goop FX pick is also included for pulling the bugs out of the trays. Twice the Fun in Half the Time The new and improved Creepy Crawlers creates up to 40 bugs -- twice as many twisted creatures in just half the time. The brightly colored oven is almost as fun as the bug-making process itself, with a gross wriggling crawler on top for inspiration. There are also bug-covered holders on the sides that store the double-use spatula and cooling tray. Made with durable plastic, the oven, trays, and spatula are child-safe and stand up to hours of experimentation in the bug laboratory. This classic boy's toy is recommended for kids 8 to 12 years old. The oven requires a 60-watt small base light bulb, sold separately, but available in virtually any grocery store. What's in the Box Creepy Crawler oven, 3 plasti-goop bottles, detailing pen with 3 tips, 2 molds, goop FX pick, 2 storage trays, and spatula/cooling tray.
The set comes with three distinctly different plasti-goop colors and FX detailing pens. |

CHEAP, BROKE AFTER 5 MINUTES! |
|
DON'T BUY THIS! It is cheap and worthless. I live in a big city & went to four different stores to find the correct lightbulb you need to "bake" the bugs. It broke after the first use and we followed the directions exactly as stated. A huge disappointment to kids. I would not recommend this to anyone! This is without a doubt the worst toy I have purchased from Marketadvisory. It should be taken off the site. I sent it back immediately. |

Great toy but had to find the right bulb |
|
You have to get a bulb for this so be sure to measure first. I got the first ones too long. |

Broke after one use |
|
We successfully made one tray of bugs, then part of the oven "door" broke....the part that engages the oven to work! I found the piece, and planned to take the oven apart to superglue the piece back on, only to discover that what looked like flat-head screws were metal pieces that couldn't be removed whatsoever. So, I tried jury rigging it to get it to stay in the "on" position so we could turn it on by just plugging it in. Well, that wouldn't work because the oven door, which wouldn't engage the lever, controls the ability to slide the on/off switch. I wish they had made the part of the door that engages the toy to work from metal rather than cheap plastic that any kid (including mine) can break by being too forceful. Bad engineering and low quality materials. |

Fun, fun! |

My boys have a blast with this toy. They always want to make bugs. We did have an issue with the door sticking, but my husband rigged it so it would work again. This is a great toy for little boys who love bugs! |

It's fun to 'cook bugs'... |
|
Great product. My son is having lots of fun in cooking (making) bugs. I guess if I could change any thing about this product is that the manufacturer should include a little booklet with bug facts to match the molds that are included. Also, I was expecting a few more bug 'molds' but this kit only comes with two. Finally, your little one must have a steady hand when placing the mold into the 'oven' because if it goes in at a slant, you will have to tip the oven to get the mold out and then means the 'goo' will slosh all over the inner parts of the oven. My husband just unscrewed the bottom and it cleaned-up in a snap. Now it's as good as new, ready to cook more bugs. I'm thiking of getting some more colors of 'goo' and some more molds just give my son a little more variety. Just an FYI for the shoppers out there. :-) |
