Hours of fun |

My 5 yr old loves this toy. She is always very proud of her creations. It fosters creativity and imagination. |

Even when it does work, it does not work |
|
The spin art concept is fun, but the hoovering concept does not work. Even when you can get it to work, after a couple of pictures, the excess paint collects on the sides of the tray and affects the balance. This causes it to no longer spin correctly. If the paper is not an EXACT square, it does not spin correctly. It comes with 15 pieces of paper. After 15 pictures, the batteries are dead. Stick with the old fashioned ones where the paper is actually secured down. As my husband would say, the company designed for packaging and never actually tested the concept with a group of kids. |

Flawed concept - it just doesn't spin well at all. |
It's a cool concept - the paper rides on a tray with air holes all oriented the same way so the fan's powerful wind makes the paper hover in the air and spin effortlessly while you drip the paint on. Unfortunately turbulence kicks in and makes the air tray wobble. Unlike the other reviews here, my tray wasn't warped. That didn't help much. I found that holding the unit up in the air helped it spin faster, but nowhere near as fast and steady as the cheaper paint spinner we got a few months before. The paper needs to spin fast because centrifucal force is what makes the paint streak out. Without adequate spin the paint just sits there and there's no fun art. Buffeted on the column of air, the tray just doesn't spin fast enough and periodically bumps the side and slows down or starts wobbling. It's just unacceptable.
On the up side the paints included and the paper included are high quality and work really well in the other spinner. |

This Toy is Poop |
Everything other people have said about this toy is true. Warped tray, doesn't hover OR spin for more then 10 seconds without getting stuck. **It's total garbage**. Don't they test these things before releasing them to consumers??
I packed it up, returned it and purchased the (twice the price) "LITE-BRITE FX FLASH ART Neon Paint Spinner". I gave that 5 solid stars. It's AMAZING and worth every penny!! I can't tear my daughter (OR my husband and I) away from it!! |

Basically unplayable and a waste of money |
The hover tray is a cheap flimsy piece of plastic that we orginally mistook for part of the packaging material. It's warped, won't spin for more than a couple of revolutions, this toy is so unsatisfactory that I ran downstairs to write this review while my husband is still trying to bend the sides of the tray so it might spin long enough to create maybe one picture for our daughter.
I remember the one I had that was like an old record player.. one that actually spun. Very disappointed. It'll be going back to the store this afternoon.
