Even at 6 months, this piano is GREAT! |
|
This was a Christmas Gift from SANTA for our 6 month old son. It is so stable and durable for him to pull up on and play with. The only thing we've had a problem with is he will pull off the PAPER NOTE GUIDE. This is something I really feel should have been painted on or permantely attached. We took it off so that he can no longer mess with it, as for now he just loves banging on the keys and making any kind of sound. We feel like it will last til hes older as well. It is very strong, however the keys arent that IN TUNE. but for 50 bucks you cant complain about that.... being a childs piano. We just mainly got it so that he can bang on it, and for that purpose it is AWESOME!! But I feel even though hes only 6 months I think its extremely safe for younger than the age group says...3 years is just a guideline in my opinion! see our pics!! |

Very cute |
|
This piano is adorable. It sounds good and seems to be very durable. The only complaint is that it is rather short. I was expecting it to be a bit taller. My fault, b/c I didn't read height. However, even had I read it, I probably would have still purchased this piano. |

Loved by all! |
I purchased this piano for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. She is my third daughter and both sisters are close in age, so finding the perfect gift for her is not easy.
When I came across the Melissa & Doug Learn-To-Play piano, I was thrilled. I also am familiar with this brand, so I expected that it would be excellent quality.
When I received it....I was even more thrilled!!! The colors are bright and cheerful, the design is sturdy. Not only does my 2 year old love it, but my 3 and 4 year olds love it as well. The older two can both follow the learn-to-play book really well. It is easy to understand and all of the songs are classic kid songs (Row Row Row your Boat, Mary Had a Little Lamb,Im a Little Teapot, Twinkle Twinkle, A Tisket A Tasket, Old MacDonald, London Bridge is Falling Down, Pop, Goes the Weasel, The Farmer in the Dell). My 4 year old can actually play a couple of songs now, without even using the book, which is proof to me that kids really can learn from this adorable piano!
I would (and have) recommended this piano to my friends and family. |

Excellent, even for a 12 month old! |
I bought this for my daughter as she loved her plastic infant piano with four keys, but as she got older she threw it around more than she 'played' it. The Melissa and Doug piano is much larger, very sturdy, and is heavy enough that it stays in place while my little girl bangs on the keys.
I am confident that as she gets older, she may actually learn to play this piano with the included music book. The piano arrived in tune, and is quite playable even with adult fingers on the small, child-sized keys.
I got this piano while it was on sale for a ridiculously low price, and it is definitely a good value. Even at the regular price I think this piano is worth purchasing for children that are even remotely musically inclined, or for those with children that just like to make noise with musical instruments like my daughter.
Very highly recommended! |

fun for a toddler |
|
This piano is cute for a toddler. I ordered it for my 2 year old. She loves to bang on the keys and the color coding on the keys with the accompanying song book make it easy for me to play some of her favorite tunes. The size of the piano however, is not what I had expected. I thought it would be much larger... proportional to the size of a toddler. Instead, it is quite small. It is too short for my daughter to sit at with her toddler chair, but is too tall when placed on a coffee table unless she is standing up. I'm not sure how it was intended to be used, but is a good value nonetheless. |
