The pirate ship area has two tall masts with flying Jolly Roger flags and a deck large enough to accommodate the included matchbox vehicle. Croc Cove might be something you want to quietly venture through so as to not disturb the huge reptile that lives there--and is no doubt looking for lunch. The forbidden inland may be the best route to treasure lagoon where there’s tale of buried gold, but you’ll have to make that call. You can also ward off any enemies with the firing gun. Or you can decide to relocate your island entirely. Just fold up the pirates, crocodile, treasure chest, and car in the carrying case and walk away. No assembly is required, and other Matchbox cars purchased separately can be used with the set.

bought this for a 3 yr old and 4 yr old |

I bought two of these this xmas season for my grandsons. One child is 3 and the other is 4. Once they opened them they didn't want to open any of the other presents and have since played with them everyday. They both insist on taking them every time they have had to go visit other relatives for holiday celebrations. The only draw back if you want to call it that is that there are some small pieces and at this age they tend to lose them. But overall it is a great imagination play toy and pirates for some reason is "awesome grandmom". I would highly recommend to this age group. I specifically bought them because the toy is self contained and can be brought with them anywhere to play especially because they visit lots of relatives homes that are not "kid oriented" since most have fully grown children and they are out of that mode. |

I bought this for my soon to be 3 year old grandson. He loves pirates and has a big imagination. The toy suits him to a "T". Mom loves it, too, because it all folds up in a nice storable little case. |

Two boys' review: 2 boys + 1 Pirate Island = Hours & hours of fun |
My wife and I intended this toy to be a traveling companion since it folds up in an easy-to-carry case. Once our two boys -- ages 5 and 4 -- opened it up, they were entranced for hours. They quickly incorporated other pirate toys and Matchbox cars and pulled me down on their floor rug, where we role played pirate adventures.
"Papa, watch out for the crocodile!"
The toy is durable but you can't abuse it. There are lots of small parts -- pirates, cannonballs and a crocodile that snap into place.
This playset is best enjoyed with more than one person, kids and adults.

Falls apart & doesn't close properly |
My son got this present for his birthday and he LOVED it, played with it a lot, etc... buuuuut after 2 months the toy woudn't close properly and the pieces (ramps) were breaking, falling off, and the closing latches fell off as well. Anyway, the toy is fun, the kids still play with it but it's not that well made and really isn't something that will last too long.
