great for a 5 month old |
my daughter will be 5 months old in a few days and over Christmas she played with this toy that belonged to her 11 month old cousin. My daughter LOVES this book. It is fantastic for her development because the turns the pages, *tries* to scoot to it a little and will stay on her tummy for longer if it is in front of her. She can't independently play with it for long without getting frustrated yet because it is a bit bulky but I am sure that will change soon enough. Really this is a great toy for a 3 to 6 month old too!
Also, the negative review about the cardboard must be an old model because ours is printed sticker pages on plastic like the v-tech books - durable as far as I can tell. |

Adorible! |
|
My husband and I purchased this for our son this Christmas. He is 15 months old and loves books. The book worm theme is really cute and the pages are easy for him to open and close. |

Musical Fun |
|
When we were shopping for christmas toys I showed this to my daughter and she was dancing in the cart instantly. She was 11 months at the time. She really enjoyed it for the time she saw it. Can't wait for her to open it. The songs are great and and is a very educational toy. |

My niece loved it!! |
|
It was a little loud, and would change songs every time you flipped the page, which was neat for my niece and annoying for my sister-in-law. My niece played with it for quite a while, and my only complaint was that it would've been great to have a couple more pages of songs. Great value for the money! |

Great concept, poor design |
Lately I'm not impressed with Fisher Price. The last several toys of theirs have left me disappointed. They WERE the toy company I grew up with in the 80's but they no longer hold the market and there are better items available.
What the descipt doesn't tell you is that the illustrated pages on this are CARDSTOCK glued to the durable plastic "pages". Cardstock. That's not very baby friendly.
Vtech on the other hand has a nursery rhymes book (same concept, plastic musical light up pages) but their books illustrations were printed on high gloss stickers thus they are easy to wipe off and the pages don't run the risk of being torn, etc.
Great idea but done better by others. |
