Disappointing and hard to push shape through |

This was a very disappointing purchase. I bought it for my 10 month old as her first shape sorter. While the sounds are clever when you push a shape through the holes, they're triggered by a button that juts out of the side of each shape opening which makes it nearly impossible for an infant or toddler to push it through (it is hard even for an adult without putting in some effort). The blue baton is useless - I guess a child could bang it against the side, but my poor baby was shaking it hoping it would have a rattle inside which it does not. The shapes themselves have very sharp edges - not great since she just wants to put them in her mouth. The 1 star is because my baby does seem to enjoy just banging all the parts together and throwing them in front of her, but as a shape sorter or drum, it's a zero. If you're looking for a drum, get the LeapFrog Learn & Groove. |
