Life Saver!!! |
|
This mobile has been a life saver to my husband and I with our baby who is now 6 months old. She LOVES this mobile and will play/lay in her crib watching it for 30 min- hour some days. I'm not sure if other posters had a differnt model but ours is not loud (the motor) at all, it makes very little noise actually, I have just started to even hear it whirring in the last few days and we have had this for about 4 months now and use it every day. The remote works from quite a distance so that we can use it from our bedroom to turn it back on when needed. The only thing I would change is a function to let it actually run longer, when our baby is enjoying it and it turns off she gets very frustrated. She has learned to turn it on and off herself now so she can turn it on when she wants. Overall a wonderful toy. |

AWESOME! |
|
She's 7 months and the batteries have just now needed replacing. She can turn it on all by herself now by kicking the huge buttons or if i give her the remote. And it's so high there is no way she can get herself tangled in it, so it is not a hazard! At first I thought it was too stimulating for her but now it is just what she needs to entertain herself while I get 30 minutes more sleep |

broke before baby was born!! |
I was impressed by this mobile in the store, the projection setting for night-time seemed like a nice way to soothe a baby to sleep. And when I set up the mobile, about a month before the due date, it worked perfectly. But a DAY after the baby was born, the light stopped working. I tried replacing the bulb and that didn't make a difference. I called the company and they told me to return it to the store- they wouldn't replace it! Of course, by the time I could make it to the store, the return receipt expired and I couldn't return the mobile. I try nowadays to buy things with FEWER moving parts- so many things can go wrong with a toy like this. That wouldn't have been as bad if the company had better customer service.
The reason I gave it two stars instead of one though, is that it still works for the daytime setting, and the music box will still work after I remove the mobile. |

Very Loud -- Not one to put baby to sleep! |
This is a very cute mobile. We had chosen it because it had everything we were looking for, lights, sounds with volume control, movement, and remote. We are now returning it because if you want this to help put baby to sleep, it will not. You have to have the volume on high to hear the music over the motor. Just an annoying loud motor is what you hear on the soft volume of the music. The projection is nice and bright and the music has a pretty tone to it, but it is just way too loud.
I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisy but baby likes it |
|
I decided to try this mobile because it seemed to get some positive reviews. What I didn't pay enough attention to was the few complaints about how loud the motor is! When we first attached it to the crib it sounded like a small tractor but now seems to be more broken in and is not nearly as distracting. The music is nice and does help to disguise the motor. Our baby really enjoys the lights and like other reviews mention they can pretty much be seen all day as long as the room isn't too bright. She can look at the mobile for at least the 10 minutes it runs and sometimes longer if we restart it. Overall, we decided to live with the noisy motor because she likes it and with the music the motor isn't really THAT loud. |
