Excellent, even for a 12 month old! |
I bought this for my daughter as she loved her plastic infant piano with four keys, but as she got older she threw it around more than she 'played' it. The Melissa and Doug piano is much larger, very sturdy, and is heavy enough that it stays in place while my little girl bangs on the keys.
I am confident that as she gets older, she may actually learn to play this piano with the included music book. The piano arrived in tune, and is quite playable even with adult fingers on the small, child-sized keys.
I got this piano while it was on sale for a ridiculously low price, and it is definitely a good value. Even at the regular price I think this piano is worth purchasing for children that are even remotely musically inclined, or for those with children that just like to make noise with musical instruments like my daughter.
Very highly recommended! |

fun for a toddler |
|
This piano is cute for a toddler. I ordered it for my 2 year old. She loves to bang on the keys and the color coding on the keys with the accompanying song book make it easy for me to play some of her favorite tunes. The size of the piano however, is not what I had expected. I thought it would be much larger... proportional to the size of a toddler. Instead, it is quite small. It is too short for my daughter to sit at with her toddler chair, but is too tall when placed on a coffee table unless she is standing up. I'm not sure how it was intended to be used, but is a good value nonetheless. |

Great classic Topy Piano - Solidly Built |
|
Great piano. Solid. We knocked it over a lot. It survived until Lucas was 5 years old. Sad to see it go into the garage sale. Classic metal tine sound. |

Not a bad toy piano |
|
Overall, this is a nice toy piano. The sound is really good. The bright colors are appealing. Two of the keys stick together. It scratches easily, but my one year old can be tough on toys. My one year old climbs on top of it since it's so small. The first time it got knocked over the top came off but went back on easily. Now the top is a little loose. |

Wow, who knew a piano could be so much fun. |

My whole family bonds almost nightly around this little guy. My son loves to listen to us play, and he loves to join in and tap a few keys himself. He can be found daily tapping his own style out, much to the joy of us. Its a great toy and should hold up for years to come. Sound quality is good enough for a toy, its not perfect by far. |
