I bought this mat for my 2 granddaughters ages 2 and 4. As soon as they opened up the box the two of them started dancing on the mat to the music they created. Different instrumentation, sounds and melodies. What a great way to expose the little ones to music. |

Piano fun for all ages |

[...] We purchased it for a 3 year old birthday gift and it was a hit. Once opened, 4 kids (ages 2-4) were jumping all over the thing. The sound/volume is great but I wouldn't call it music - but I would definitely call it fun. It engaged the youngest and the oldest people in the room - everyone just had to touch it. Maybe as the kids get older they will learn to "play" it. Overall - a blast. Great gift idea - don't forget the batteries! |

Twice a bust! |
I have ordered this toy twice for my children and twice they have not been able to play with it. So I really can't give it any reviews. I ordered it first from Jcpenny as I had a gift certificate. It was delivered damaged and it also smelled TERRIBLE. I returned it to Jcpenny and to find out they had discontinued it. I found it at Back to Basics Toys and Marketadvisory. Since Back to Basic Toys would not be receiving this until April 1st I ordered it from Marketadvisory.
I was pleased that it was double boxed so it did not look damaged. This one did have a slight odor but nowhere near what the first one had. However, when I brought it out for them to play it did not make any music. It lights up in on, record and demo mode but it does not play any music by touching any of the keys to include the volume buttons. Something is also rattling inside it as well so I am assuming yet again it is damaged.
Note the box that it came in is different than the one that came from Jcpenny. This box says that there are easy instructions and song sheets. If what came in the box was the instruction sheet it was not very detailed and doesn't offer any suggestions for troubleshooting. There were no song sheets provided as well.
I emailed Smart Planet but I cannot talk to customer service at Highlights where it was ordered through with Marketadvisory until Monday.
I am both extremely frustrated and disappointed in this toy. I haven't decided if I want to try a third time or not. |

I bought this for my 4 yr. old grandson and he has so much fun. He is really into music and dancing and we all love playing with the mat and the enjoyment we get from watching him try new things with the mat is priceless. |

Did not receive product |

I am unable to give a review of the product because my order did not show up. It didn't even leave the warehouse but my credit card was billed. I am still trying to receive credit. Lets back up, I ordered a piano mat on December 10th. It was suppose to be in stock. I received an email from Marketadvisory that it would be shipped out the 14-19th of December. On December 21st I sent an email to the "Back to Basic Toys" with no response. On December 26th, I sent another email with no response. My credit card was billed December 19th for the item. I tracked my package through FedEX. They said they received a call tag but no product. I called Basic Toys on January 4th. The had a hard time locating me or my order in their computer as Marketadvisory's order numbers do not correspont with "Back to Basic Toys". Once my order was found using my middle inital, I was told Marketadvisory credited my card and a supervisor would contact Marketadvisory to issue me my credit. No explaination was given as to why the item was not shipped. It has been a week an still no credit. |
