This product is okay. It does not work as well as I had hoped it would, but for $10 you get what you pay for. If I could go back and make the purchase again I would spend a little more money and buy a better made product. The removable tips do not fit on the otoscope as well as they should, making it difficult to get a good view of the eardrum. |

Catch problems before they cause grief. This item has come in handy so many times. It can save a trip to the doctor too. Good design and batteries last a long time in it. Glad I have it.

I bought this as our child had multiple well documented ear infections. I found this very difficult to use - could not visualize the ear drum/membrane very well. After trying for a couple of times, I went ahead, returned this and bought a medical grade otoscope by ADC (available via Marketadvisory), and liked that a lot. Though this is a good looking instrument, and seems to be designed well, I am not sure why it doesnt work very well in visualizing the eardrum. I am pretty sure it isnt merely my technique - the ADC otoscope works very well in my hands.. |

I found this set very difficult to see the eardrum with. It did not cost much but did not offer much in return for my money. |

I bought the Summer Ear & Throat kit since my 8 month old son has had several ear infections. Now, he has began teething; which causes him to pull on his ears, as with ear infections. Now I hope this will help me to detect if he has an infection or if it is his teeth. This ear kit has a lighted tip and gives you a good look into the ear canal. Also comes with a phamplet that shows normal ears as well as infected ears. I just hope that I will really know what to look for! I would highly recommend this product. Just wish I had purchased it sooner. |
