192 kHz/24bit AD Converters: Costly, extremely powerful digital-to-analog converters , that not only boast a dynamic range of 120 dB, they process information faster and are virtually resistant to clock jitter, to ensure the best possible performance from DVD-Audio, DVD-Video and audio CD. RI (Remote Interactive): With Onkyo’s exclusive RI (Remote Interactive) system capability, you can integrate and operate all compatible components through a single remote control. What’s more, RI capability enables you to simply connect the iPod® to your receiver through Onkyo’s RI Dock for the iPod (DS-A1). Your iPod effectively becomes another Onkyo component from which you can relish a fuller sound that just can’t be experienced through headphones. RI capability will also give you remote operability of your iPod for hands-off control over your digital music. VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry): Conventional D/A conversion methods reduce digital pulse noise at the conversion stage but can’t remove it completely. CD Changer |

I was looking for a CD changer that was moderately priced but high quality. I've only had this for a month but so far but I think I found what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this product. |

Very pleased so far |

Recently bought this unit as an upgrade. I really prefer a multi-disc changer with a random function, versus a single disc player, as a way to mix up some favorite discs. The audio is simply excellent. I am hearing all the detail I would expect in a high-end single disc player. I note very little noise from the unit as the discs change, and silence through the speakers as this occurs. As others have mentioned, check the dimensions on this one relative to your cabinet, because it's a legit 17" x 17". |

Very bad buy |

I bought this item 6 months ago and doesn't work now. I have to cut the power to see if im lucky and play a CD when is reconnected. I dont have a near option for send it for service, so I prefer to buy another CD Changer, but of course another brand. |

Great while/if it lasts |
I bought this [new] from Marketadvisory not quite 1 year ago and now it's dead. The sound quality seemed great (but then again I do have a 70's Marantz receiver and big JBL speakers), but now the on/off gets stuck on standby, then the tray won't open, and when I can finally try to play a CD, it starts skipping then stops playing. I even bought a CD-brush cleaner but the problem wasn't as simple as a little dust.
Why are stereo components nowadays made so crappy that you have to keep replacing them? Is everything made in China? Too bad they didn't make CD players back in the 70s when stereo electronics were made in the USA and Japan with QUALITY. I certainly can't recommend something that falls apart in less than a year.

Good but it didn't stand out from the crowd |

My old Technics turntable CD changer recently died. I purchased it back in the early 1990's. Since I had an Onkyo receiver, I decided to try out this Onkyo turntable CD changer. While it is a good and reliable product, it didn't really stand out from other CD changers I have seen and heard. Some people have remarked that when they bought this new CD changer that they could hear a real improvement in the sound quality of their music CDs. It sounded the same to me as my old Technics. No better. No worse. I would think in about 15 years they would have been able to make it sound better. My speakers are very high quality and if it had been better, I would have heard it. Additionally, my old Technics had a unique feature that seems to have disappeared from turntable CD changers. It could play the first track from each CD, then the second track and so on. My wife and I really liked this feature. While the Onkyo does support 6 CDs, I would have preferred to have had this style of sequential play. This is a good CD changer, but it doesn't really stand out from the crowd. In Onkyo's defense, this is a good CD changer but I doubt many, if any CD changers stand out from the crowd these days. CD changers are not cutting edge technology anymore. Most are pretty much the same and no one seems to be doing much to make one better from another. |
