quick review - GREAT DVD-R-DL |
|
This is just a really quick review to reiterate what others have said. Ever since I switched to using these Verbatim DVD-R-DL, I have not had a single "coaster". They all work perfectly well with my Memorex external burner using Nero recode. I am a now a loyal user of these DVDs. They cost a little more; but if you put them in your amazon cart and check often, the price drops low every couple of months to about $1.25/disc ($25 for a pack of 20 blanks), which I think is a pretty good deal. A year ago they cost twice that, so I'm not complaining. |

DL you can trust |
I bought a 20 dl pack from amazon last month. I have been burning dvd data of all kind and no one have been damaged.
I have tried with other brands before on my DELL Laptop 6400 and I can say that the 65% of the cases they failed (even at the minimum speed without any program loaded - including antivirus).
Next Time, I will buy 50 for backups my photos and all other stuff because I trust on media saved on internet and portable media. External hard disk are usefull but not trusted 100% for some facts that I will not mention here.
I hope this info can be usefull for you. |

Great - Made in Singapore |
My batch was made in Singapore. Always the best experience with these - I have never had a coaster. The 8 - 10X of course are faster, but if these are on sale (and you don't mind the longer burn time), these are the best deal out there.
They do have the Verbatim logo on the front, so if you use a Casio disk label printer, the ink doesn't stick to the entire disk (where the logo is). |

7 out of 7 Sucessful burns! |
|
I've heard many great things about this brand, so I went ahead and bought me a batch for my burning needs. They work great so far no bad one yet. I highly recommend this product. |

Performance was great as usual. |
|
Despite all the controversy related to the quality/performance of this media, I have yet to experience any issues at all. I have used the MII and MIS Verbatim disks over the past several years with flawless results. I suspect that many of the problems reported are coming from those who are using marginal or poor quality hardware that has overly constrictive media requirements. |
